In short
- Vink is free to use for now. If that changes, we’ll tell you first.
- Your links and content are yours. You’re responsible for where your links send people.
- Links used for phishing, malware, spam or anything illegal get switched off.
- Vink is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it up, but can’t promise it never goes down.
The full text below is what counts.
1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Prince Yadav, an individual based in India, who runs Vink (“we”, “us”), for using Vink: the website, the app, short links and the API. By creating an account or using Vink, you accept them. If you use Vink for an organization, you accept them for that organization and confirm you’re allowed to.
2. Your account
You need to be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that’s higher, so you can enter into this agreement. Give us a real email address and keep your password and API keys private. You’re responsible for what happens in your account and your workspaces, including what your teammates do. Tell us right away at support@usevink.com if you think someone else has access.
3. Your links and content
You keep ownership of everything you put into Vink: links, titles, tags, pages and domains. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run Vink for you, for example to redirect your links and show you their clicks.
You’re responsible for your links and where they send people. You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Price and limits
Vink is free right now. We may add paid plans or usage limits later. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before anything you use today starts to cost money, and nothing is ever charged without you choosing a paid plan.
5. When we switch links or accounts off
We may pause or remove a link, a custom domain, a workspace or an account that breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or that puts people or Vink at risk. For phishing, malware and other urgent harm we act first and explain after. Where it’s safe to, we’ll tell you what happened and how to fix it. If you think we got it wrong, appeal to our Grievance Officer at grievance@usevink.com and we’ll reply within 15 days.
6. Custom domains
You can only connect a domain you own or are allowed to use. You’re responsible for its DNS settings and for renewing it. If the domain expires, is removed or points elsewhere, links on it stop working.
7. The API
Use the API within its rate limits and don’t try to get around them. API keys act on behalf of your workspace, so keep them secret and revoke any key that may have leaked. We may change rate limits, and abusing the API can lead to suspension.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Vink at any time. To delete your account and data, write to support@usevink.com from your account’s email. We may end these terms or close Vink with at least 30 days’ notice, unless the law or events outside our control prevent that, or sooner for accounts that break these terms. When an account or workspace is closed, its short links stop redirecting.
9. No guarantees
Vink is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, fast, error free, or that every click will be counted. Click numbers include bots and link previews.
10. Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about Vink is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or ₹5,000. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes we’ll email you or tell you in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using Vink after that, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a dispute with us, write to our Grievance Officer first so we can try to resolve it. Otherwise, the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Grievance Officer
Our Grievance Officer is Prince Yadav. Email grievance@usevink.com with complaints about content on Vink, how we handled a report or your account, or how we use your personal data. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days, as the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require.
