In short
- Short links hide where they go, so people have to be able to trust them.
- No phishing, malware, spam, scams or anything illegal.
- Harmful links get switched off, often without warning.
- Seen a bad Vink link? Tell us at abuse@usevink.com.
The full text below is what counts.
1. Never use Vink for
- Phishing, or collecting passwords, payment details or personal data under false pretences.
- Malware, viruses, unwanted software, or sites that try to install anything without clear consent.
- Spam: links in unsolicited bulk email, messages, comments or posts.
- Scams, fraud, fake giveaways or deceptive offers.
- Anything illegal where you or your visitors are, including sexual content involving minors, which we report to the authorities.
- Harassment, threats, content that promotes violence or hatred against people for who they are, or sharing someone’s private information.
- Pretending to be another person or organization, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Hiding a destination to get around another platform’s rules or link blocking, or showing different destinations to reviewers and visitors.
2. Don’t misuse the service
- Don’t try to break into accounts, workspaces or our systems, or test them without our written permission.
- Don’t get around rate limits, overload Vink, or create accounts in bulk.
- Don’t resell Vink or offer it as your own service without an agreement with us.
3. What we do about it
We check link destinations against lists of harmful sites, and we review reports. When something breaks this policy we may pause or remove links, domains or accounts. For phishing, malware and other urgent harm we act first and explain after.
4. Report a link
Email abuse@usevink.com with the short link and what’s wrong with it. We look at every report. If you’re reporting a security problem with Vink itself, use the same address. If you’re not satisfied with how we handled a report, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@usevink.com.
